Mathieu Flamini is set to join Getafe on a free transfer, according to various reports in the Spanish press.
The French midfielder is a free agent after ending his time with Premier League side Crystal Palace last summer and is yet to find a new club since leaving Selhurst Park.
Flamini, 33, has been in discussions to move to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez over the weekend after a successful training period and a deal is now said to be done with the former Arsenal man set to sign an 18-month contract.
Prior to his spell with Palace, Flamini was released following a second spell with Arsenal which took his total appearances for the North London side to 246 games.
The former French international spent five years with Italian side AC Milan in between his two Arsenal spells, making 128 appearances for the Serie A side.
Having begun his career at Marseille, Flamini broke into the senior side in 2003, before being signed by Arsenal in that same summer.
Whilst at club level for Arsenal, Flamini was a success – his chances for the French national side were limited, making just three caps in total.
Flamini is now expected to be installed into the squad for the visit to Sevilla at the weekend.
