Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has asked young forward Marco Asensio to give him more on the field after seeing Karim Benzema struggle to re-find his form.

Frenchman Benzema has had a troubling 2017/2018 season thus far, whilst he has seen the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale bounce back from a dip in form, with both bagging braces against Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend.

Zidane, fully aware of his problems going forward – has now spoke with former Mallorca youngster Asensio about his role in the team, asking the lively attacker to provide more when on the field.

The Spanish international had a good start to the season but his form has dipped a little, and Zidane wants him to show his full potential now as the season edges towards the decisive moments.
