Real Madrid trio Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Marcelo have been full of support for Cristiano Ronaldo, attending a meal at his house this week.
Portuguese forward Ronaldo is undergoing arguably his worst season as a professional footballer, having failed to keep up with Lionel Messi in terms of goals and having been linked with a summer return to former club, Manchester United.
Constant negative press for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has seen him question his time in Spain, with reports claiming he has told the Spanish club that he wants to leave in June.
Ramos, Modric and Marcelo have now acted quickly and attended Ronaldo’s house in Pozuelo de Alarcon, to show him support and encouragement for the latter half of the season.
Onda Cero report that the meeting between Madrid’s four captains, also discussed a number of other pressing issues.
It is further claimed that all four players had their partners with them, whilst Ronaldo’s mother was also in attendance.
Madrid face Leganes tonight in the Copa del Rey, hoping to advance to the semi-final of the competition and they approach the game in good form, having beaten Deportivo La Coruna 7-1 at the weekend, which included two goals from Ronaldo.
