Real Betis have submitted a ‘massive’ bid for Paris Saint Germain winger Lucas Moura, say reports in Spanish press.
The Brazilian forward is struggling to find regular playing time at the Parc des Princes, mainly down to the form of Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Neymar.
Linked with a January move, Moura has been gaining interest from a number of European clubs, such as Valencia and Tottenham Hotspur.
Betis boss Quique Setien is keen to continue improving his squad and has also shown interest, and it is now reported by Estadio Deportivo that a bid has been offered to PSG, which would break the Spanish club’s current transfer fee record.
The report claims that an initial €18m, plus a further €12m in variables, has been offered for the 25-year-old.
That offer does fall short of PSG’s valuation, which reports claim is closer to the €40m region.
One snag in his potential exit from the French club, despite a lack of football – is the settlement of his wife and his child, who are happy with life in Paris.
However, his desire to get in the Brazil squad for the World Cup in Russia next summer could see that stance change.
