Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz has signed a new deal at the club, increasing his release clause to €30m, according to reports.
The talented young midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Benito Villamarin after some impressive performance on the field for Quique Setien’s side.
Barcelona have been strongly linked, whilst Real Madrid and a number of Premier League sides have also shown interest.
ABC de Sevilla now claim that a deal has been agreed for the 21-year-old to remain at the Andalusian club until June 2022.
Real Betis’ rising star Fabian has surpassed all expectations this year and has taken up the mantle from Ceballos. The Spaniard – according to WhoScored.com ratings – is Real Betis’ second best player this season with an overall rating of 7.01. The ageless Joaquin lies just ahead of him.
The 6ft 2” midfielder came through the Cantera at the Seville based club earning his first team debut in 2014. Real Betis showed faith in the then 18 year old and were only in the second division at the time.
The Spanish Under-21 star went on loan to Elche last season and played 18 times for the club. On the back of this, Betis wanted the midfielder to play a role this season and his importance has been quiet significant.
