Roque Mesa has completed his medical at Sevilla ahead of his move from Swansea City, according to reports.
El Desmarque confirm that the midfielder was in attendance to have medical examinations on Monday morning and will now put pen-to-paper on a six month deal.
The former Las Palmas midfielder will link up with Vincenzo Montella’s side for the remainder of the season and add an extra dimension to the Italian coach’s midfield options.
Having arrived in Wales last summer for a fee of €12.5m deal, Mesa has featured in just nine games for the Premier League strugglers.
El Desmarque follow up several reports across Spain of the deal, claiming the 28-year-old is more than keen to return to Spanish football after a drastic spell in Wales with the Swans.
The Andalusian club have been busy this month, attempting to tie up deals for a number of new faces with Miguel Layun set to sign in the coming hours from Portuguese side Porto.
Sevilla advanced to the semi-final stage of the Copa del Rey last Tuesday evening, beating Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid over two legs but they were left frustrated after being held at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to Getafe at the weekend.
