Real Madrid are considering a number of options to reinforce their squad for next season and according to Argentine newspaper Clarin, Leandro Paredes is one of these options.
The 24 year old midfielder is currently playing for Zenit St Petersburg in the Russian league and plays as a central midfielder and has also been used as an attacking midfielder by Zenit’s coach Roberto Mancini this season.
The Argentine newspaper also added that the environment surrounding the player recognise the interest from Real Madrid and it is said that they are ready to make a €35 Million offer for the player.
Real Madrid would also like to use Mateo Kovacic in the deal to bring the Argentine, but this is somewhat difficult as the Croatian isn’t interested in moving to Russia as he has better offer in better clubs.
Paredes previously played in Boca Juniors, Chievo, Empoli, Roma and is a key player in Zenit having started 27 times scoring 5 goals and assisting in 6 goals during his first year at Zenit.
Paredes who is known for his excellent passing range and penetrative long passes was part of Jorge Sampaoli’s last squad which played in the World Cup Qualifiers and made received his first cap with Argentina in the process.
