New Sevilla signing Roque Mesa has thanked the fans of Swansea City for their support during his short time at the Premier League club.
It was confirmed that the midfielder was in attendance to have medical examinations on Monday morning and signed a six month loan deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, ending a nightmare stint in England.
The former Las Palmas midfielder will link up with Vincenzo Montella’s side for the remainder of the season and add an extra dimension to the Italian coach’s midfield options.
Having arrived in Wales last summer for a fee of €12.5m deal, Mesa has featured in just nine games for the Premier League strugglers.
And, after arriving in Seville, Mesa has thanked the fans of his former club for their support during his time at the club.
“These have been very nice months in which I have known a beautiful city, a pleasant stadium and an amazing support,” Mesa wrote on his social media account.
“I couldn’t have shown all my football in Swansea but I have lived one of my best moments of my career when the whole Liberty Stadium sang a song with my name.
“I am sure that with the support of the fans, Swansea will stay in the Premier League.
“I will cheer and follow them and I wish them the best of luck. Forever Jack.”
The Andalusian club have been busy this month, attempting to tie up deals for a number of new faces with Miguel Layun arriving from Portuguese side Porto and Sandro Ramirez joining from Everton.
Sevilla advanced to the semi-final stage of the Copa del Rey last Tuesday evening, beating Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid over two legs but they were left frustrated after being held at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to Getafe at the weekend.
