Getafe are set to complete a deal for Alaves midfielder Wakaso, according to reports in Spanish press.
The 27-year-old has featured 12 times for Alaves this season and has largely impressed, producing a combative performance against Barcelona in the narrow 2-1 defeat last weekend.
Having joined the Basque club last summer, it now seems that his stint at the Mendizorrrotza is over after COPE journalist Gemma Santos claimed a deal was expected to be completed later on Wednesday.
Madrid based club Getafe are in good form this season and want the midfielder to provide a different option.
Wakaso has enjoyed stints with seven Spanish clubs in total, featuring for the likes of Elche, Villarreal, Las Palmas, Espanyol and Granada.
Added to their signing proposed signing of the Ghana international, Getafe have also completed a deal for Loic Remy on a short term loan agreement.
Remy, who received interest from England, aswell as Turkish giants Galatarasay, enjoyed success with Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United, before moving to Stamford Bridge.
Injury problems saw him struggle at Crystal Palace last season, before he chose to take the offer and move to the Canary Islands.
Remy’s problems come after a number of players continue to struggle on the Island, which saw Kevin Prince Boateng cancel his contract at the club last season.
Remy’s future this summer is expected to see French and Chinese interest re-emerge, whilst Getafe could look to make the move permanent.
