Paris Saint Germain forward Lucas Moura has passed a medical with Tottenham Hotspur after he rejected the chance to move to La Liga.
The Brazilian forward is struggling to find regular playing time at the Parc des Princes, mainly down to the form of Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Neymar.
Linked with a January move, Moura had been gaining interest from a number of European clubs, such as Valencia and Real Betis.
Betis boss Quique Setien is keen to continue improving his squad and had shown interest, but the Brazilian international rejected the chance to move to the Benito Villamarin stadium in favour of a move to White Hart Lane.
Moura underwent a scheduled medical on Wednesday morning after Spurs successful agreed a fee with PSG, however, he will not be eligible for selection against Manchester United on Wednesday night, having missed Tuesday’s 12pm deadline.
In total, the forward has made over 150 appearances for PSG since joining in January 2013, winning four Ligue 1 titles and three Coupe de France trophies during his time in Paris.
Betis have been largely quiet this month in terms of new signings but they have completed a move for Marc Bartra from Borussia Dortmund.
