Espanyol have completed the signing of Leo Baptistao from Atletico Madrid.
The Barcelona-based side announced the deal via their official website on Wednesday afternoon, confirming that they had completed a permanent deal for the Brazilian striker.
Baptistao, who moved to La Liga in 2008 with Rayo Vallecano joined Atleti in 2013 but failed to establish himself under Diego Simeone and has had subsequent loan spells, including last season with Espanyol.
Six goals in 16 starts for Espanyol has now warranted a permanent deal, with the club purchasing the remaining 50% of the striker’s contract.
Baptistao arrives in Barcelona with a €27m minimum fee release clause, the club have confirmed.
