Juventus make major play for Valencia’s Gaya

Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya is reportedly gaining interest from Italian side Juventus.

According to Tuttosport, Juve officials are keen on replacing Kwadwo Asamoah and veteran defender Stephan Lichsteiner, whilst Alex Sandro is subject to numerous offers to leave Turin.

Gaya, along with Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian, is on the shortlist at the Old Lady to replace the aforementioned and it is understood that tentative calls have been made to Los Che.

22-year-old Gaya, has been in good form this season at the Mestalla and has gained heavy plaudits through interest from the likes of Barcelona, Man United and Juventus.

Gaya interest; Marcano arriving

Valencia are closing in on the signing of Ivan Marcano from Portuguese side FC Porto, according to Plaza Deportiva.

The defender has been linked with a move to the Mestalla since the start of last summer’s transfer window and it looks like that the player will be reunited with Los Che coach Marcelino García Toral, who gave him his first team debut while playing for Racing Santander.

Marcano’s contract expires at the end of the season and according to Portuguese sources the defender has already agreed a deal which will make him a Valencia player for the next three years, which will see him gain a €4m signing on bonus.
