Inter Milan have disciplined loanee Joao Cancelo after a poor attitude and several outbursts in training of late, according to reports.
The Portuguese international left the Mestalla last summer after a fall out with the club’s fans, following links to La Liga side Barcelona and his open desire to join the Catalan side.
A move to the Camp Nou failed to materialise and therefore, a move to Inter Milan on loan was agreed but his time with the Italian club has not gone smoothly.
The defender has failed to gain sufficient playing time for the current Serie A league leaders, forcing him to ask parent club Valencia to cut short his loan deal last month.
Any chance of that happening did come with problems though, as Geoffrey Kondogbia is on loan with Los Che and is directly linked to Cancelo’s loan agreement – thus cancelling any such deal.
The full-back was on the bench for Inter’s 1-1 draw with Crotone, with Tuttosport reporting he had been heavily disciplined by the club.
Cancelo have featured just six times in the league for Inter, plus twice in the cup and he will be hoping to gain more playing time with the World Cup in Russia this summer fast approaching.
