Atletico Madrid are undergoing talks with Angel Correa, Jan Oblak and Thomas Partey after signing Sime Vrsaljko to a new contract.
Croatian defender Vrsaljko signed a new deal until 2022 earlier this week and the Wanda Metropolitano club are now focusing their attentions on new deals for Correa, Oblak and Partey.
Oblak has gained interest from Paris Saint Germain in recent times, whilst Partey’s form in the centre of midfield is gaining praise from a number of European clubs.
Correa, who scored a superb goal against Valencia at the weekend is also on the agenda of some of European football’s top clubs.
Whilst deal for the three players are at an initial stage, Gabi will see his contract renewed until June 2019, according to various reports.
The club captain has been free to discuss terms with potential suitors since the turn of the year, but he is close to playing his 25th match of the season, all with a minimum of 30 minutes playing time, which would mean his contract is renewed automatically.
Having joined the club as a youngster, Gabi developed through the various youth teams, enjoying two loans spells with Getafe and Real Zaragoza before holding down a first team place.
Having featured in over 350 games for Atleti, Gabi is now set to sign a new deal with his expected contractual deal due to be reached this coming weekend.
Whilst Gabi is expected to remain at the club – the trio of Juanfran, Miguel Angel Moya and Fernando Torres are unsure of their future.
Juanfran could be offered a new deal but it is expected that both Moya and club legend Torres will be allowed to leave the Wanda Metropolitano this summer.
