Saturday afternoon sees bottom side Malaga play host to Atletico Madrid at La Rosaleda stadium in a game where the home side will be looking to improve following on from last weeks defeat to Las Palmas, While Atletico look to continue their great form this season.
A win for Malaga could close the gap to Las Palmas down to just a point and would be their win in the league since December , but defeat for them could see them further back in the race for survival. A win for Diego Simeone’s men could bring them within six points of league leaders Barcelona for 24 hours at least.
In the meeting between the two sides early on in the season, Atletico win 1-0 thanks to a goal from Antoine Griezmann just after the hour mark in the first game at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The home side will be without Juan Carlos Perez and Adalberto Penaranda through injury and the suspended Cenk Gonen, while they have new signings Maxime Lestienne and Diego Rolan in their squad.
Atletico have a couple of injuries that have ruled out Diego Godin and Stefan Savic for the game. But the good news for Madrid is they have Filipe Luis back from injury.
