The last sixteen of the Champions league starts this week and Real Madrid host French side PSG, the home side who have been poor in La Liga this season but can continue their impressive form in Europe with a victory over the French table toppers.

Madrid finished second in their group which was deemed the group of death behind Tottenham Hotspurs, many people believe that winning the Champions League is the only the way for boss Zinedine Zidane to keep his job.

Despite winning the trophy last season and the season before there is no guarantee that they will make it three times in a row, as others teams have gotten stronger over the two windows including opponents PSG who signed former Barcelona star Neymar and upcoming French talent Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid have apparently already lined up replacements for Zidane if he is to leave at the end of the season  with the likes of Germany boss Joachim Low, Mauricio Pottechino and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

However Zidane will be making sure that this won’t happen and will be fully concentrated on making sure his side improve in the league and can go far in the Champions League.
