Eibar vs Barcelona: Basque surprise package prepare to host league leaders

Eibar will look to continue their unbelievable run of form when they take to the pitch at the Ipurua on Saturday afternoon but it will be an extremely tough game with league leaders Barcelona providing the opposition.

The Basque side have lost just once in twelve, 2-1 to Atletico Madrid, following last week’s late winner at Leganes which saw them remain in seventh. As for Barca, they remain unbeaten after 23 league games but have drawn their last two in the league, 0-0 with Getafe and 1-1 at Espanyol.

The meeting between the two sides earlier this came in the middle of a poor run for Eibar and Barca took full advantage with Lionel Messi scoring four goals in a 6-1 for the Catalans.

Jose Luis Mendilibar has named a massive 22 man squad for the match but will of course have to cut four out before naming his official teamlines. Pedro Leon is welcomed back for the first time this season after injury and new signing Vukasin Jovanovic also makes the squad for the first time this season. Sergi Enrich and Fran Rico remain out.

Predicted Line-Ups:

Eibar (4-4-2): Dmitrovic; Pena, Arbilla, Ramis, Angel; Orellana, Diop, Garcia, Inui; Charles, Kike

Barcelona (4-4-2): Ter Stegen; Roberto, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Coutinho, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta; Messi, Suarez
