Real Sociedad will be looking to earn a much needed three points, as they host relegation contenders Levante at the Anoeta.
Sociedad may have a few tired legs following their Europa League draw against Red Bull Salzburg, but will be feeling confident at home, after beating Deportivo De La Coruna 5-0 in their last home match.
Although Levante managed to grab a point against Real Madrid a couple of weeks back, their last La Liga win was in November, as they beat fellow relegation battlers Las Palmas, 2-0.
The last time these teams met, Levante were 3-0 victors, although it was at the Estadi Ciutat De Valencia. Sociedad’s last home victory against Levante, came in May 2015, thanks to goals from Finnbogason, Bergara and Carlos Vela. Furthermore, Sociedad are unbeaten in 9 out of 10 matches against Levante in all competitions.
Real Sociedad are expected to be without Willian Jose, Kevin Rodriguez, Raul Navas and Carlos Martinez due to injuries.
Their expected line-up is: Rulli, Odriozola, Moreno, Elustondo, Bella, Zurutuza, Illaramendi, Prieto, Oyarzabal, Agirretxe, Juanmi
Levante’s list of absentees is a fairly long one, with injuries to Tono, Erick Cabaco, Ivan Lopez, Jefferson Lerma and Alex Alegria
Their expected line-up is: Olazabal, Coke, Pier, Postigo, Luna, Doukouré, Campana, Lukic, Ivi, Pazzini, Morales
Seeing how history favours the Basque club and the fact that they are at home will be a massive motivation, considering the position they find themselves in, they really need these three points.
Also, Sociedad have scored at least twice in their last three games, so they know where the net is, and Levante have conceded at least twice in their last four games, I am going for a 4-1 victory for the home side.
