Nelson Semedo has told Barcelona he is unhappy at his lack of playing time, but is determined to gain a regular starting place this season.
The Portuguese defender arrived from Benfica last summer to fill the gap left by Dani Alves a year previous, however, the form and development of Sergi Roberto in the right back role, has seen playing time hard to come by.
Semedo has started just 10 La Liga games for the league leaders, with another five appearances coming from the substitutes bench.
Whilst the defender has told the club that he is unhappy with just 823 minutes this season, it is understood that he has also said he will do all it takes to wrestle a starting place from youngster Roberto.
Roberto will be hard to budge though, having signed a new and improved contract at the club, which increased his release clause to £350m.
Another right-back at the club in Aleix Vidal is expected to be be handed out a transfer this summer, having also failed to make his mark on the starting eleven, featuring from the bench against Chelsea on Tuesday evening.
Italian side Roma and Sevilla have been interested in the Spanish defender in recent times.
