Deportivo La Coruna have signed free agent Sulley Muntari, it has been confirmed by the club via their official website.
The 33-year-old midfielder has been training with the relegation strugglers for the last two weeks and has now signed a short term four month deal, which could be extended later this summer should the club remain in Spain’s top flight.
Muntari, reunites with newly appointed Depor boss Clarence Seedorf, having spent time together in Italy with AC Milan.
The former Ghana international found himself without a club, having left Pescara last summer, where he made just nine appearances in a largely disappointing spell with the lowly Italian club.
His experience is likely to add some quality at the Riazor, having played for a whole host of English and Italian clubs, including Portsmouth and Sunderland, plus gaining 84 international caps during his career.
Depor, who rushed to appoint Seedorf at the start of February after a dismal first half of the season, have lost their opening two games under the guidance of the Dutchman.
They prepare to face Espanyol this coming weekend, before games against Getafe and Eibar follow, hoping to secure a vital three points in their search for La Liga survival.
