Kylian Mbappe will not take part in Paris Saint Germain’s weekend fixture with Troyes after a foot problem.
The young French attacker was taken off against Marseille in the Coupe de France tie on Wednesday and precautions are now being made by the Parisian club to protect him for the Champions League second leg.
A report in L’Equipe claims that the former Monaco striker will now miss the weekend fixture in order to he fully fit for the game next Tuesday night.
PSG have everything to do in the second leg, having lost 3-1 to Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid – two weeks previous at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The French league leaders will be without Neymar, who has returned to Brazil to undergo surgery on a foot problem, which saw him stretchered off last weekend against Marseille.
Globo Esporte were first to report on Tuesday morning that the Brazilian international would miss two months of football, threatening his participation in PSG’s Ligue 1 and Champions League campaigns, plus his country’s preparations for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Since, PSG have confirmed that the former Barcelona is expected to spend three months on the sidelines, seeing him miss the remainder of the season.
