Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is reportedly open to a summer move to Real Madrid after becoming disheartened at Stamford Bridge.
Despite last season’s successful Premier League title campaign under Italian coach Antonio Conte, Chelsea have now become a shadow of their former self, sitting fifth in the standings and a massive, 25 points off league leaders Manchester City.
Hazard, has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu for sometime, having impressed club president Florentino Perez on countless occasions.
Whilst a new contract extension has been submitted by Chelsea officials to the Belgian international, it is understood that the former Lille man is nowhere near signing a new deal.
In fact, English paper – The Times claim that he is now seriously considering a move to Madrid, having become dismayed at Conte’s tactics and his role in the team this season, which has varied from game to game.
Hazard has been involved in Chelsea’s last five games, four of which have been defeats, including the weekend 1-0 defeat to Man City, which he was hauled off in the latter moments of the game.
Along with Hazard, Belgian team-mate Thibaut Courtois is also debating a new deal at the English club, being also linked with a move to Los Blancos.
