Jose Luis Mendilibar’s Eibar will take on Levante at the Ciutat de Valencia to kick off Jornada 29 in La Liga on Friday night.
Eibar are currently chasing a European place, sitting ninth on 39 points, four places behind Girona. Levante on the other hand sit in 17th just outside the relegation zone, but they are four points ahead of Las Palmas in 18th.
Levante will be full of confidence following last week’s 1-0 win at Getafe, Coke with the only goal, but Eibar have a bit of catching up to do after a Cristiano Ronaldo double saw them go down 2-1 at the Ipurua.
When the sides met earlier this season at the Ipurua, the home side came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Anaitz Arbilla’s free kick inspiring them to a comeback completed by Charles.
The hosts have a lengthy injury list with Cheick Doukoure, Sergio Postigo, Tono Garcia, Ivan Lopez and Raul Fernandez all joining Koke on the sidelines following his red card from the bench at Getafe.
Fran Rico, Fabian Orellana and Sergi Enrich all miss out for Eibar as well through injury while David Lomban, Vukasin Jovanovic and Asier Riesgo have been left out by Mendilibar.
Levante (4-4-2): Oier; Coke, Chema, Cabaco, Luna; Morales, Campana, Lerma, Ivi; Roger, Pazzini
Eibar (4-4-2): Dmitrovic; Capa, Arbilla, Ramis, Angel; Leon, Diop, Garcia, Inui; Charles, Kike
