Getafe beat Real Sociedad 2-1 at the Anoeta on Saturday afternoon to move up to ninth in the league.
Picking a surprise side this season who have done well in La Liga will be a tough pick for the pundits come the end of the season, but Getafe are likely to be on the list of nominees.
The Madrid based side have made themselves tough to beat at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez and with the win over Eusebio Sacristain’s side on Saturday – they could have solved their away problem too, which saw them win just one game on the road all season.
La Real started the game well and they took the lead after Brazilian front-man Willian Jose got himself on the score sheet inside just 23 minutes.
But, the home side failed to build on their lead and indeed threw away their 1-0 advantage.
Djene Dakonam has been impressing this season at the heart of the Getafe midfielder and it was his thunderous header which levelled the tie, leaving Miguel Angel Moya helpless in the Sociedad goal.
Angel Rodriguez would then secure the winner for the visitors just six minutes after the break, finding the top corner in superb style.
Sociedad did have chances to level the game, but the away side held on for three very impressive points.
