Barcelona, Samuel Umtiti and his agent will hold a formal meeting following Wednesday’s Champions League tie over his new deal.
Umtiti has been linked with a move to English club Manchester United in recent weeks after boss Jose Mourinho held discussions with his brother and agent over an asking price.
Barca, who signed Umtiti from Lyon two season back failed to increase his release clause last summer and it is confirmed that the French international could leave the Camp Nou for a small figure of £60m.
Barca have been quick to change that figure of late, offering the Cameroon-born defender a new deal which would see him increase that clause to around the £300m mark.
Talks have been ongoing and it is now reported by Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo that Umtiti is excited about his new deal and the future at the club.
Umtiti is also said to be relishing the chance to play with Griezmann, who is expected to join Barcelona before the World Cup this summer in a deal worth £100m.
Griezmann, like Umtiti, has a small release clause which dropped from £200m due to a special clause in his contract.
Barca, who allowed Arda Turan to leave the club in January, have kept the number seven shirt free for the former Real Sociedad man.
