Malaga could be relegated if they lose to Levante on Thursday evening at the Ciudad de Valencia.
Date: Sunday, 19 April 2018 / Kick-Off at 20:30 UK / Venue: Estadio Ciudad de Valencia
The visitors will be confirmed as relegated if they fail to beat Levante, and form is not on their side – having lost four and drawn once in their last five outings.
Failing to bounce back from the 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid would see them confirmed as a La Liga 123 side next season and could potentially confirm the home side’s safety.
Levante, who have improved of late, did lose to Atletico Madrid last weekend 3-0, but heading into that game – they were unbeaten in five, a record which has helped them move away from the relegation places.
Left-back Coke returns from suspension. Morales and Ivi should start in the wide roles despite Jason being available again.
Centre-backs Ignasi Miquel and Diego Gonzalez are both injury doubts. Luis Hernandez returns from a ban though and should start in the heart of the defence.
Both teams are in desperate need of a win, Malaga more so and we expect the Andalusian side to do the unthinkable and get three points. 1-2
