Manchester City are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to reports in English press.
Long has been the English side’s interest in making a move for the former Malaga player but now under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola – it seems a real possibility that it could happen.
Guardiola is a keen admirer of Isco and is hoping his discontent at the Santiago Bernabeu could prompt talks over a summer move.
Isco will be in action for Spain at the World Cup in Russia this summer and is expected to play a large part for his country, but talks away from the pitch could still happen between the English champions and Madrid.
English press, added to a report in Mundo Deportivo – claim that City are willing to offer €80m for the Spain international, a scoop, given his huge release clause – set at €700m when he signed a new and improved deal recently.
Isco has been in good form for Madrid this season but has been in and out of the starting eleven under Zinedine Zidane.
Concerns have since followed that the midfielder feels ‘lonely’ and ‘not part of the team’ at Madrid and therefore, City is now looking likely to be a possible destination away from La Liga.
