Manchester United are closer to signing Antoine Griezmann than Barcelona, whilst the Frenchman remains torn on his future.
The French international is currently preparing for the World Cup in Russia where he will be hoping to follow up his Europa League success with a triumph on the international stage.
A superb season for Griezmann has seen him linked with Barcelona, who have been largely keen due to his form and connections with fellow countrymen Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti.
Whilst a move has been heavily reported in Spanish press, it has been claimed that the former Real Sociedad man has turned down an approach and opted to remain with Atleti past the summer.
Reports in ABC believe that Griezmann has told Atleti of his desire to remain at the club, meaning Diego Simeone will have his leading marksman ready for next season.
However, those reports have now been conflicted with other media outlets claiming Man United are closer than Barca to making a move and that Griezmann infact, is undecided.
United have been long interested in the Frenchman, and his relationship with international team-mate Paul Pogba is said to be part of the reason why they are favourites to make a move.
Further reports claim that Atleti could report Barca for their approach to Griezmann, meaning the Catalan club could be investigated and subsequently banned.
