Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois is holding off contract talks with the English club as he awaits a potential offer from Real Madrid.
Madrid president Florentino Perez is looking at a number of options to replace current number one Keylor Navas, and is keen on the former Atletico Madrid keeper as a back-up to long term target David De Gea of Manchester United, should interest fail in the Spanish number one.
Matched with interest; it is also reported that Juventus and Atleti are keen on Belgian Courtois – with the latter wanting to bring him back to the club if Jan Oblak is chosen by Perez as a target.
The 25 year old was vocal last summer about his desire for a new contract with the London side but has been unable to reach an agreement, and it is now reported that he is eyeing a move back to Madrid with Real – holding off those talks in the process.
The Belgian’s two children live in Spain’s capital and he has opened up about desire to eventually move back to the city.
Whilst Navas has been impressing at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, it is expected that Perez will make a number of changes to the personnel at the club next summer.
The likes of Gareth Bale and even, Cristiano Ronaldo are also being linked with moves away.
