Valencia have made a loan offer for Andre Gomes from Barcelona, according to various reports in Spanish press.
Diario Sport are among those reporting the news that talks have taken place between the two clubs over a loan deal, which could be agreed for 24 months.
Barca are keen to sell the Portuguese midfielder after he failed to make an impact following his £35m move to the Camp Nou from Valencia two summers back.
Interest from the likes of Manchester United and Juventus are present in Spanish media, and it is also thought that Arthur’s pending move to the Camp Nou from Brazilian side Gremio will dampen any chance of him playing next season – meaning an exit is now most likely.
Gomes, who was represented by Jorge Mendes, has now changed his agent to his brother and Paul Martin, an English agent, who has good contacts in England.
Other potential exits this coming summer are Denis Suarez, Paco Alcacer and Aleix Vidal – who are struggling for regular game time – whilst Thomas Vermaelen and Yerry Mina are also looking at their futures.
Valencia boss Marcelino is still keen on the midfielder, despite his current options having good seasons last term, which include Geoffrey Kondogbia, who was sublime.
