Eibar will not listen to any offers for striker Sergi Enrich, according to Spanish daily Marca.
The Spanish goal-scorer has been told he will not be subject to any accepted offers, unless interested clubs want to pay the full 20 million euro release clause in his contract.
That statement comes after a number of teams from the Premier League and La Liga showed interest and Jose Luis Mendilibar’s desire to keep him at the Ipurua for next season.
Enrich has a current deal at the club until June 30, 2019 and although renewal talks are yet to begin – Eibar are expected to come up with a new and improved package in the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old joined Eibar in 2015 from Numancia having had previous spells with Alcorcon, Recreativo and boy-hood club Real Mallorca.
The Ciutadella born striker has scored 21 goals in his 87 league games for the Basque club and was famously made to apologise after being involved in a sex tape with team-mate Antonio Luna and another woman – back in October 2016.
Eibar had a successful league campaign last term and coach Mendilibar will now be hoping to further improve on their ninth place finish, having missed our narrowly on a Europa League qualification.
