Quique Setien is leading a goalkeeping revolution at Estadio Benito Villamarin with two ins and one out expected in just a matter of days in Seville.
Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has put pen to paper on a five year deal to join on a free transfer from the Catalan club, as the club confirmed on their official website.
Everton back-up shotstopper Joel Robles is also set to join him, according to MARCA, having arrived in the city to complete a transfer to the club from the Premier League.
The news comes as MARCA also claim that Antonio Adan is set to join Atletico Madrid for one million euros to complete the series of changes with the Spanish goalkeeper expected to be back-up to Jan Oblak at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
At present, it is not clear who Setien will pick as his number one, though someone will need to step in to Adan’s shoes as the former Real Madrid man wore the captain’s armband in Joaquin Sanchez’s absence before a knee injury curtailed his season early.
Despite that, Setien rarely appeared to trust Adan and rumours of talks with Lopez in particular had been ongoing for months and the younger man looks the more likely of the two to begin the season between the sticks provided he performs well in pre-season for his new club, using his experience from Espanyol and Tottenham to earn his spot.
