Barcelona midfielder Paulinho is considering a lucrative move back to the Chinese Super League, according to reports.
The Brazilian international is currently preparing for his side’s quarter final at the World Cup against Belgium after having a superb season with the Catalan club which saw him win the La Liga title and Copa del Rey.
Having moved to the Camp Nou last summer in a relatively surprising move, the former Tottenham Hotspur player was one of Barca’s highlights, performing the a high standard for the most part of the season.
A mainstay in Ernesto Valverde’s side last term and moving forward – Paulinho is now said to have received a huge offer from the Chinese Super League to return – where he played before joining Barca.
Barca are said to know about the situation and are keen to meet the players agent with reports claiming his value could be anything up to 50m euros.
A potential exit could see Barca have a non-EU spot freed up, meaning Arthur’s arrival could be easier that first though this summer.
The midfielder is said to be ignoring speculation regarding his future ahead of Friday evening’s game with Roberto Martinez’ Belgian side, where a place in the semi-final is available.
