Italy international Simone Zaza is set to leave Valencia after agreeing terms with Italian club AC Milan, reports claim.
The Italian striker is set for a return to his homeland after negotiating a four-year contract to move to the San Siro, leaving Los Che boss Marcelino with a void in attack to fill this summer.
According to “Gazzeta Dello Sport”, the agreement will see Zaza earn €2.5m per season at his new club but his sealed deal must await confirmation of other moves involving Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Milan are keen to sell Nikola Kalinic, who is said to have agreed terms with Atleti, whilst his arrival at the Wanda Metropolitano could see Kevin Gameiro sold to Valencia to replace goal scorer Zaza.
Zaza’s proposed move is expected to be an initial loan spell, however, it will feature the obligation of Milan to make the deal permanent next July.
Zaza was in superb form last season, helping Valencia to a top four finish and push the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for the second placed spot behind league leaders Barcelona.
The Mestalla outfit will now prepare for a Champions League stint next season, alongside Barca, Atleti and Madrid.
