Cristiano Ronaldo agrees to join JuventusJuly 6, 2018
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to join Juventus this summer in a deal worth €30m per season.
Serie A champions Juve have been working hard behind the scenes to offer the Portuguese forward a tempting contract to make a move this summer and it is now being reported that both parties have agreed a deal.
Ronaldo’s questionable future at the Santiago Bernabeu comes after he made a claim that his future was up for debate after winning the Champions League title in May.
Spanish daily Marca lead with the reports that the forward is now on the verge of an exit and that his relationship with several board members, including president Florentino Perez is now at breaking point.
Juve are claimed to have offered Ronaldo a four year contract, and it is now being claimed that the former Manchester United man has accepted terms and given ‘his word’ that he will join this summer.
Portuguese sports daily A Bola follows up the reports, claiming that negotiations have come to a close, whilst Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says Ronaldo is just moments away from sealing a move.
Ronaldo, who was unable to help his Portugal side past Uruguay at the weekend in the round of 16 at the World Cup in Russia – is now enjoying a summer break with family and friends.
However, it is thought that his agent, Jorge Mendes, has been working hard to agree a transfer fee with Madrid for the move to materialise.
