Rayo Vallecano have approached Alvaro Negredo over a potential summer move but MLS interest is also present, reports claim.
The Spanish striker has left Turkish club Besiktas after not being included in their pre-season tour of Slovakia.
Turkish media are now claiming that he has been offered a route back to La Liga with newly promoted Rayo, who are keen to add his experience to their squad.
Rayo’s reported interest is matched by that of Sporting Kansas City, who are keen to make a move for the former Valencia man.
The 32-year-old scored seven goals last season for the 15-time Turkish champions following stints with Middlesbrough and Manchester City in the English Premier League.
The transfer window for MLS teams reopens in 11 days on July 10th until August 9th and it is thought – Negredo is now deciding on which challenge to take next season.
Whilst a lucrative contract offer from Sporting is on the table, the lure of playing for Rayo in La Liga against the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and former club Valencia, is also said to be tempting the former Spanish international.
His arrival would bolster Rayo’s attacking options which already feature veteran striker and former Manchester United man, Manucho.
