Diario Gol have reported that Lionel Messi and Neymar are keen to see Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli move to Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona’s summer transfer activity has been minimal to say the least after failing in moves for the likes of Paris Saint Germain’s Marco Verratti, Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Manchester United’s Ander Herrera.
A move for former Spurs midfielder is expected to be finalised on Friday morning, but it is the interest in current Spurs forward Alli that has Barca fans chomping at the bit.
Alli has been in superb in the last two seasons for the North London side and has gained recognition both on the European stage and at international level.
The England star would provide adequate back-up to Barca’s front three of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar with the latter two said to have encouraged a summer bid.
However, the report is also full of doubt as the Catalan side already have Paco Alcacer and former Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu as options in attack.
Interest in Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool seems to have slowed down in recent weeks, whilst a move for Nelson Semedo of Benfica is being discussed at present.
