Barcelona have completed the signing of Malcom from Bordeaux in €41m deal, according to various reports.
According to reports breaking within the last few minutes the Catalan club have sealed a deal for the 21 year, who was set to fly to Rome on Monday evening to finalise the move and take a medical in the morning.
Both Roma and the French side had announced on their Twitter pages that a deal had been reached between the two sides, but Barca’s 11th hour move scuppered such plans.
According to Sky Italia, Bordeaux stopped the Brazilian from boarding a plane to Rome after they received a bid from Barcelona and that has now been accepted with his agent Fernando Garcia holding a meeting at the Camp Nou on Tuesday morning.
Barca tabled a €41m bid for the Brazilian which topped Roma’s who had agreed a £32m fee with Bordeaux.
Barcelona had been linked with another Brazilian in Willian of Chelsea, however according to Catalan Radio they have discarded signing him due to Chelsea’s asking price and now Malcom is their preferred signing.
An official announcement is now expected with many claims stating that Malcom will wear the number seven shirt next season.
