Las Palmas centre back Pedro Bigas has completed a loan move to Eibar with Cristian Rivera moving the other way permanently.
Eibar will have the option to purchase Bigas at the end of the season for €3 million if they are impressed with his performances on loan for the upcoming season.
Bigas has been with the Gran Canaria club since joining from Mallorca in 2014 and has made 75 appearances for the Yellows, scoring seven goals in that time. In total he has played 111 LaLiga games so he knows the league which can only be a plus to Eibar.
The deal will also see Cristian Rivera leave the Basque country to switch places with Bigas, with the 21-year old joining Las Palmas on a four year deal.
Defensive midfielder Rivera joined Eibar from Real Oviedo in 2016 but spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona B having fallen down the pecking order at Ipurua.
He is no longer in Jose Luis Mendilibar’s plans at Eibar however Las Palmas see him as the new Roque Mesa and want him to play a main role as they aim to bounce back up at the first time of asking following last season’s relegation.
