Michy Batshuayi set for Valencia after bat tweetAugust 10, 2018
Michy Batshuayi is set to join Valencia on loan after sending a cryptic tweet of a black bat via Twitter.
The 24 year-old was sent to German side Borussia Dortmund on loan in January where he proved his worth, scoring seven goals in nine Bundesliga appearances.
An ankle ligament injury towards the end of the season looked to rule the forward out of the summer’s World Cup, however Roberto Martinez named him in Belgium’s 23-man squad, and he scored in the country’s 5-2 Group Stage win over Tunisia.
And, following that impressive return – a whole host of interested clubs have been in touch with Chelsea over a deal.
Whilst reports had claimed Batshuayi was set for a move to Andalusian side Sevilla – conflicting reports have now claimed that a one-year deal has been agreed between Los Che and the English club.
The striker has also added to the speculation, tweeting a black bat icon on his official Twitter account.
Whilst the English transfer market closed on Thursday afternoon, the Spanish window is not due to close until the end of August.
Batshuayi’s arrival at the Mestalla could see the likes of Simone Zaza leave the club after being linked a number of teams this summer.
