Patrick Roberts has been confirmed as a Girona player, completed a loan move from Manchester City.
The young winger signed for City from Fulham back in the summer of 2015 and made his Blues debut as a second half substitute in a 4-1 win just weeks after arriving at the Etihad stadium.
Two further spells for the first team failed to see him remain at the club and an 18 month loan spell was then agreed with Scottish side Celtic.
Impressive form in Scotland saw Roberts win the Scottish Premier League title and went the entire campaign unbeaten, sealing a treble.
A return to City in the summer of 2017 saw him struggling to find a route in to the first team and a season long loan deal was subsequently agreed once more with Celtic, however, hamstring problems reduced his appearances somewhat.
The 21-year-old now moves on to City’s sister side Girona, who narrowly missed out on a Europa League place last season.
City commented on the move via their official website, penning: “Everyone at City wishes Patrick all the best during his time in Girona.”
Roberts is expected to be joined by Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has also been linked with a move to the Estadi Montilivi.
