Manchester City are reportedly keen to explore a move for Barcelona keeper Jasper Cillessen.
Speculation has surrounded the future of Barca’s second choice goalkeeper Cillessen throughout the summer as rumours have floated that the Dutch international wants regular first team football.
SPORT have previously reported that the shotstopper is considering forcing a move away from Camp Nou with offers from several top European clubs on the table.
The said offers were all prepared to guarantee him a role as first choice, many of them, including Liverpool, offering the chance to remain in the Champions League and at the very highest level – however, a potential move to England fell through.
That could now change, however, Man City’s interest would not see him gain first team football.
City boss Pep Guardiola is able to force through an emergency loan after a long term injury to Claudio Bravo, meaning Cillessen could become a back-up to Brazilian number one Ederson.
The Dutchman is said to be aware of the offer, however, he will need to decide what is best out of being back-up at Barca or at the Etihad stadium in England.
Cillessen and Barca boss Ernesto Valverde did hold talks last week regarding his future and he did look set to stay.
