Levante vs Celta Vigo – Estadi Ciutat de València– Monday 27th August – Kick off 7:15pm GMT
The penultimate game of Jornada two sees Levante welcome Celta Vigo to Valencia with both teams managing to grab points in the first week of the season.
Monday evening’s hosts started their campaign stunning Real Betis in a 3-0 away win at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.
Celta also managed to avoid defeat last weekend, drawing 1-1 at home to Espanyol. Coach Antonio Mohamed believed that his side should have got more from the match and feels that they have some way to go to achieve where they need to be.
The two clubs met on the last day of the 17/18 season, with Celta comfortably winning 4-2 at Balaidos. In the first meeting between the two, a Sisto goal separated the two sides, meaning that the Celticos successfully grabbed six points against Monday’s opponents.
Paco López will be hoping that his side continue their run of form that has carried over from the end of last season. He will be without three players for Monday’s clash, with Armando Sadiku out with a ruptured ligament and Emmanuel Boateng suffering from a torn meniscus. Moses Simon is a doubt with the forward suffering from a quadriceps problem.
Celta also have two players who will definitely miss the match, with Mathias Jensen and David Junca both out until the start of September with bicep injuries. Facundo Roncaglia has been passed fit for the match having recovered from his muscle injury.
