Girona vs Real Madrid: Real looking to keep 100% record to start the season

Girona vs Real Madrid- Municipal de Montilivi- Sunday 26th August- Kick off 9:15pm GMT

Real Madrid travel to Catalonia to face Eusebio Sacristan’s side who are looking for their first three points of the season, Madrid will enter the match as favourites and will be hoping to replicate last week’s win over Getafe but they know that it won’t be an easy game at the Municipal de Montilivi.

Last season’s fixtures between the two sides threw up a surprise in the first meeting as Girona beat Madrid 2-1 thanks to goals from Cristhian Stuani and Portu, this despite being a goal down at half-time as Isco put Los Blancos 1-0 up inside 15 minutes.

The return fixture at the Bernabeu saw Madrid run out 6-3 victors as Cristiano Ronaldo scored four times to secure victory for then head coach Zinedine Zidane.
