Italian veteran strikers Antonio Cassano and Marco Borriello are set to link up at UD Ibiza.
Former Real Madrid striker Cassano, looks set to agree a deal which would see him link up with Borriello, who completed a move to the Islanders earlier this week.
The fairly unknown club have rose to prominence of late, winning promotion to the Spanish third tier this summer for the first time since they were formed in 2015.
Multiple reports who also reported Borriello’s move to the Balaeric Islands club, have now claimed that Cassano is set for a move.
Corriere della Sera and Calciomercato say a deal is now close to completion with the striker coming out of retirement.
Ibiza are backed by former Valencia president Amadeo Salvo, who ran the Mestalla club between 2013 and 2015.
Having won promotion last season, the club are now actively attempting to gain promotion to La Liga 123 and further more, La Liga – in the future.
Both Cassano and Borriello would bring a wealth of experience to the Island club and could both link up at the weekend as Ibiza face Atletico Sanluqueno.
So far this season, Ibiza have played one and won one, beating Sevilla B 1-0 away from home on the opening day.
