Sevilla have completed a deal to sign Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow, despite the player initially cancelling the move.
Talk began to gather pace at the start of this week, linking the Dutchman with a move to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as boss Pablo Machin made it clear – his intentions to bring in a new front-man.
Marca were among those reporting the news that a move had been made for Promes, who has been in good form in the Russian Premier League with Spartak.
A failed move for Mariano Diaz of Lyon saw the Brazilian switch back to former club, Real Madrid and that has now prompted Sevilla to act quick and seal a deal for Promes.
Promes was set to sign a four-year deal with Sevilla on Wednesday but reports had claimed that he had cancelled the move due to a stall in negotiations.
However, it is now understood that Sevilla will pay €21 million for the striker and give him a salary of €3million a year.
Portu could also arrive at Sevilla
Another goalscorer in Portu could also be set to arrive at Sevilla with well known journalist Gerard Bellera (@gerardbellera) and former Sky Sports commentator Kevin Keatings, both tweeting the news that a 18m bid had been accepted by Girona.
No official confirmation via Sevilla’s website has been given on Portu, however.
