Barcelona’s backup goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has been cleared for duty and added to the squad for their match tomorrow against Huesca.
Last week, Jokin Ezkieta was in the squad backing up first-team goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for the match against Real Valladolid. But, now the Dutch goalkeeper returns to his usual place on the Blaugrana bench after overcoming a rib injury.
Ter Stegen and Masip reunite
Ter Stegen had shared a special moment with Real Valladolid’s Jordi Masip last Sunday. Masip and Ter Stegen used to be teammates, and it looks as though the German is just as thrilled as the Spaniard that Real Valladolid were promoted to the first division.
The German goalkeeper shared an embrace with Masip after the match, as well as tweeting his appreciation for his ex-teammate.
A special pride and pleasure to see you in La Liga, Jordi! I’m happy how everything worked out for you as you are an amazing guy. Best of luck for the season and keep it up as you did against us! 😊👊🏻 pic.twitter.com/Gq63POGEPm
