Espanyol defender Didac Vila has discussed the impact new coach Rubi is having on the club.
The arrival of Rubi to replace last season’s manager Quique Sanchez Flores has hailed a new future for Espanyol, with many of the club’s fans growing with excitement.
Rubi’s arrival saw the club’s biggest ever transfer Borja Iglesias also arrive and their form has been relatively good.
Vila, who has been in good form – has discussed his side’s belief and acceptance to Rubi’s ideas, both on the training ground and on match days.
“People are enjoying Rubi’s ideas, ” he told Marca. “We like his concepts and we are doing all we can to prepare for our next game.”
Espanyol boss Rubi has spent a large part of this week, individually coaching Roberto Rosales, report Marca.
The former Malaga captain joined the Catalan side this summer after suffering relegation last season.
Having featured in that relegation season, Rosales is now hoping to make an impact for Espanyol and help them continue with their moderately good start to the new campaign.
Marca report that coach Rubi and Rosales have spent increased time on the training pitch this week, discussing tactics and various aspects of the game.
Rubi is no stranger to holding one-to-one sessions with his players, having already spent time with a number of his players on an individual basis this season.
