Huesca vs Rayo Vallecano – Estadio El Alcaraz – Friday 14th September – 20:00 GMT
Estadio El Alcaraz will host La Liga football for the first time as Huesca welcome fans to the top flight for the first time after remodeling work on their stadium stretched into the beginning of the season.
They will do so by welcoming fellow newly promoted side Rayo Vallecano, who have stadium woes of their own having been forced to postpone their last fixture against Athletic Club. On the pitch, the Madrid side remain without a point following defeats to Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.
Huesca on the other hand have had a stronger start, securing a win over Eibar and a draw against Athletic Bilbao thanks to a last minute equaliser before defeat to Barcelona.
Huesca’s slim squad will fortunately have almost every option available to Leo Franco, with only reserve goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanovic expected to miss out with a calf strain.
Rayo Vallecano face more of a challenge, with Emiliano Velazquez yet to return to action as a calf injury has kept him sidelined since the start of the campaign. Jose Pozo could also miss out this weekend after contracting a virus this week.
Huesca (4-4-2): Werner; Miramon, Pulido, Etxeita, Luisinho; Gallar, Melero, Musto, Moi; Cucho, Longo.
Rayo Vallecano (4-5-1): Alberto; Advincula, Abdoulaye, Amat, Moreno; Kakuta, Medran, Elustondo, Comesana, Trejo; De Tomas.
