Valencia vs Real Betis: Los Che aim for first win as Betis visit Mestalla

Valencia vs Real Betis – Estadio Mestalla – Saturday 15th September – Kick off 5:30pm GMT

Valencia go into Jornada four still awaiting their first win of the season with Quique Setien’s Real Betis the visitors to the Mestalla on Saturday evening.

Great season’s last year saw these two return to Europe with Valencia in the Champions League while Betis made it to the Europa League but both have made poor starts to this campaign.

A draw with Atlético Madrid wasn’t the worst start to the season for Los Che but a defeat to Espanyol followed by a draw in the derby with Levante has them currently languishing in 17th place.

Betis haven’t began brilliantly either, losing to Levante and Alaves before finally picking up their first win with a 1-0 win in El Gran Derbi against Sevilla before the international break.

Valencia won this fixture 2-0 last season but it was the clash at the Benito Villamarin that really caught the eye with nine goals shared as Valencia ran out 6-3 winners in one of the games of the season.
